K-Pop Group CRAVITY on Their Desert Island Beauty Essentials

A group photo of five members of the Kpop boy group Cravity posing in front of a black background with confetti...Courtesy of Starship Entertainment

You can feel the excitement buzzing as soon as I enter a basement conference room in a New York City hotel and am greeted by nine friendly faces belonging to Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin. After our chat, they're off to perform at KCON Chicago — the first-ever, I might add, for my beloved Windy City. (I make sure to let them know that Chicago is my hometown and that they're going to have the best time.)

No doubt they'll perform one of their latest hits, "Adrenaline," which hypes you up with lyrics like "Feel it, embrace me, dominate / Like a fight scene, this thrilling feeling / The adrenaline in my body is raging lightning." It's precisely the type of youthful energy you'd expect from a pack of young men ranging from ages 19 to 22 aspiring to be world-renowned K-pop idols.

Though the pandemic certainly threw a wrench in their debut plans — this is CRAVITY's inaugural overseas trip since debuting on April 14, 2020, by the way — CRAVITY is finally starting to meet their fans, dubbed LUVITY, and experiencing the joys of in-person performances. After all, they've released two albums and three EPs thus far, and even their first digital single "Vivid" as of this month — so there's plenty of discography to wow fans with.

Like most K-pop group names, CRAVITY holds a special meaning. It stands for "Center of Gravity" and combines the words "Creativity" and "Gravity," and really suits the members — who strike me as kind and grounded throughout the entire interview. And, as you'll soon read, that creativity goes beyond music — even though some members have already started contributing to songwriting. Let's just say…LUVITY will be waiting for a marine-themed comeback concept to manifest.

Their attitudes towards beauty are also thoughtful and appreciative, which feels like a breath of fresh air compared to some idols in the industry who might view beauty as a practice confined to the makeup and hairstyling chairs while they're on set for a photo shoot, music video, or TV appearance. (To be totally clear, while I do work for allure.com, beauty is what each individual makes of it and there's no right way to go about it.)

But, to get a bit more specific, I asked CRAVITY a few further questions to get a better understanding of their relationship with beauty (and more). Here's what ensued:

A group shot of all nine CRAVITY members for Liberty in Our Cosmos album photoshoot on a black background with confettiCourtesy of Starship Entertainment

Pre-Debut vs. Now: Beauty Edition

What was your relationship with beauty like growing up and/or pre-debut?

Seongmin: I've always had an interest in making myself up and, after our debut, receiving professional makeup and skin-care treatments. I've learned a lot through them.

Serim: I've always liked decorating myself, whether that's through fashion or beauty. Around the time I was 19, I learned how to do my makeup through a friend.

Taeyoung: Before my debut, all I did was just wash my face with water and apply a toner or skin pad, and no moisturizer. Post-debut, we're in a lot of makeup for the whole day, so my skin gets troublesome. I'm interested in learning how to get better skin, so now I'm using a lot of skin-care products.

Allen: I think beauty in general — doing our hair and makeup, or just wearing clothes that makes us feel comfortable in our bodies — can make a person [feel] so much more confident, and that confidence goes a long way.

Beauty really helps us in that way because we're always in front of cameras and there are always going to be people looking out for us. That's why it's really important for us to really take good care of ourselves, whether that be through skin care or diet, or working out. Our members are doing a fairly good job, in that respect.

If you had to name a desert island beauty necessity, what would it be and why?

Taeyong: Maybe there's coconut oil [you can get] from a tree.

Hyeongjun and Allen: Vaseline.

Serim: Sun cream and an eyebrow knife. I could also use the knife to hunt. [Editor's note: I assume this would be something like a dermaplaning tool.]

Minhee: Sun cream and lotion because my skin is so dry.

If you could have any hair color for the rest of your life (and you magically wouldn't have to retouch it nor would it cause any damage), what would it be?

Taeyoung: Maybe this ash gray.

Woobin: My current color.

Minhee: White.

Allen: I say black hair, because as we age, we start growing white hair, right? But if, for the rest of your life, you could have black hair — how great would that be?

On K-Pop Role Models & Finding Their Own Style

Is there anyone in the K-pop industry whose style you really admire, and why?

Multiple CRAVITY members name Monsta X's I.M, one of their sunbaes (a word used to refer to someone older and/or more senior in the industry) from Starship Entertainment. Taeyoung is the most enthusiastic and comments on how cool and sexy his labelmate is.

Taeyoung: He really changed after "Love Killa," he says. When he was changing styles [and doing that] kind of [darker, smokier] makeup, I loved it, and I'm open to trying that kind of style in my own way.

Jungmo: My role model is BTS's V. He's just handsome, stunning, and cool. I like comfortable clothes, which he sometimes wears at the airport, so I like his style.

Allen: It was our very first time showing the fans our airport fashion. We actually spent a lot of time preparing for it, buying new clothes, and just contemplating what to wear, because we really want to show our best sides to our fans.

Imagine you have free rein to create a comeback concept for Cravity and a look for each member. What would that look like?

Serim: A marine look with sharp hair. Like, a sailor outfit. It's a fresh concept that suits the summer.

Taeyoung: It's really hot, so we need to get short-sleeve tops. Allen has been exercising a lot, so maybe [we incorporate] some exposure.

Minhee: I want to dress up Hyeongjun in the western kind of cowboy look, like that authentic PSY kind of style in 'That That.'

Hyeongjun: I want to enhance Minhee's natural freckles.

Allen: I'd like to see Serim in a uniform, like a police or pilot uniform. I think that would be really sexy. He has a good body. [Woobin and Minhee agree with the latter statement.] He also has good proportions.

Wonjin: I want to see Woobin in a chef outfit because he's a really good cook and makes really good food.

On Creativity & Perseverance

What inspires you when you're songwriting, producing, or practicing choreography?

Taeyoung: Definitely, that is our fans.

Minhee: Parents.

Allen: Because we want to be [good] sons, we want to make a lot of money so we can pay back our parents. There are our fans as well like Taeyoung said. We always want to show our fans our best sides — new sides that the fans can always look forward to with each comeback.

For me, it's also the little things, whether that be the weather, on sunny or rainy days. Colors as well. I take inspiration from literally anything. I could hear a keyword, or when I'm talking with my friends, I hear stories about their lives and could write a song like that.

What was debuting at the height of the pandemic like? Did it have an impact on your mental health, and how so?

Wonjin: There are not going to be any other situations more depressing than COVID-19, so that's how it made us strong.

Allen: We've been through this pandemic, and so we can face anything. It's definitely taken a toll on us because it's been two years [and counting of COVID]. Working up towards that, it's been a really tough road because we didn't know when it was going to end. Every time we performed on stage in front of the camera without our fans, we lost a lot of energy. So it's like, what's the point of working so hard when what is shown is only captured by the camera? Whereas, with a live audience, you don't know who is looking at you, so you have to be doing your best at all times.

Our first time performing in front of fans was in April of this year. But even then, we couldn't hear them screaming or cheering for us. They only clapped. They also had their masks on, so we couldn't really see their faces. It was still rewarding though.

Reflecting on the Past, Present, & Future

What has been your proudest moment thus far, besides your debut?

Woobin: Our fans probably don't really know to what extent each and every member practices and works each time we prepare for a new album. It's important for us to improve ourselves so that while we record songs or learn new choreography, we can really surprise [our fans] and show them how we improved. I'm really proud of those moments when we're all in the zone, focusing on bettering ourselves.

Seongmin: I'm really proud of the way our members come out on camera during music shows, knowing there might be other teams watching us. [Editor's note: For context, the next group who's performing is on-call and can monitor the on-stage group via screens.]

What makes you excited or optimistic about the future of K-pop?

Taeyoung: I'm looking forward to singing all together with a global audience. Fans all over the world learn Korean just to sing along to their favorite artists. So I'm really proud of how much K-pop has accomplished to be able to have that impact on a global scale.

This interview has been condensed and edited for clarity.

Jennifer Lopez Introduced Her Child With They/Them Pronouns During a Recent Performance

Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet for Netflix special Halftime wearing hair halfup halfdown in a black dress with mesh...Getty Images

Did you hear the news? Jennifer Lopez says, "Happy Pride," everyone. During a recent performance at the sixth annual Blue Diamond Gala — hosted by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation at the Dodgers Stadium and headlined by none other than J. Lo herself — the multi-hyphenate brought her 14-year-old child, Emme, up on stage for a surprise performance and used gender-neutral pronouns "they/them" to introduce them to the lucky crowd.

Twitter content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

J. Lo shares twins (Emme and Max) with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and according to Buzzfeed, this was not the first time that Emme has blessed fans with their voice. In fact, it's not even the first time they've performed with mom during a big stadium show; they duetted the song "Limitless" in 2019, and also made an appearance during the 2020 Super Bowl. You could say they're practically a pro by now.

"The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won't. So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey," Lopez said, according to Entertainment Weekly. "They cost me when they come out. But they're worth every single penny because they're my favorite duet partner of all time. So if you will indulge me."

Fans posted clips of the show to social media, praising the singer for using gender-neutral pronouns for Emme so effortlessly. And while this may seem (for some) like an easy thing to do, it really does make a huge difference, so it's great that Emme seemingly has such love and support in their life.

10 Comfy Hijabs You’ll Wear Over and Over Again

10 Best Hijab Scarves 2022 That Are Easy to Style and Comfortable to Wear

Channing Smith/Allure

Those who practice Islam and choose to wear a hijab wrap scarf know that there are just about infinite amounts of styles to create with your headscarf. With that being said, the best hijab scarves will effortlessly cover your hair without causing uncomfortable concerns like hair-pulling, breakage, or frizz. Yes, there are quite a few styles, materials, and patterns to choose from, but since you might be wearing them for hours on end, why not choose a new hijab that looks and feels good?

Fatima Fahs, MD, a New York City-based board-certified dermatologist, says that one of the biggest issues hijab-wearers have is hair loss caused by their headwear, also known as traction alopecia. "Hair loss can be caused by a number of factors including vitamin and mineral deficiencies, hormonal changes, stress, family history, medications, endocrine disorders, and inflammatory conditions," she says. "Often, there are multiple reasons behind hair loss — many of which are treatable if diagnosed early." Dr. Fahs has quite a few tips for treating hijab-related hair concerns, but first thing's first: she says if you're experiencing hair loss, talk to your dermatologist for an examination. "Sometimes blood work or biopsy is necessary to make the correct diagnosis," she says.

Dr. Fahs suggests loosening up both your hijab and the updo you may have underneath it. "A possible contributor to hair loss with hijab is the constant tension the hair is placed under when one ties their hair back tightly into a ponytail or bun for extended periods of time," she says. She recommends cutting down on tight, pinned-down styles and opting for looser hijab wraps or scarves made of breathable, lightweight materials like bamboo.

If you wear your hair in tight updos under your hijab, Dr. Fahs suggests switching to looser styles and swapping tight hair ties with soft scrunchies, headbands, or hair clips. "Using small, tight hair ties can lead to premature hair breakage and increased tension," she says. “Keep your hair as loosely pulled back as possible or consider a loose French braid.”

When possible, Dr. Fahs also recommends removing your hijab and keeping your hair down at home to give your hair a break from updos. Lastly, she also says to never put a hijab on wet hair. "There may be an increased association of hijab and seborrheic dermatitis or dandruff," she says. "It's possible that placing a hijab over wet hair can increase the overgrowth of yeast on our scalp that leads to excessive flaking, inflammation, and itching."

Whew, that was a lot of info, but now it's time to put it to good use. Below, take a look at some of the best hijab scarves for fashion-forward styles that won't cause unnecessary hair damage.

The 19 Best Nude Lip Liners for Every Skin Tone, According to Makeup Artists

19 Best Nude Lip Liners 2022 for Every Skin Tone — Expert Reviews

Finding your perfect nude lip liner is a lot like looking for the perfect little black dress or a classic white button-down shirt you can wear with everything in your wardrobe. In other words, it has to check all the boxes: Does it feel comfortable on the lips? Does it complement most makeup looks? Does it suit your skin and natural lip tone? Does it make you feel like the best version of yourself?

If you answered "no" to any of the aforementioned questions, it sounds like you've yet to find the one. When you finally do, though, you'll be amazed at the multitude of ways you can use a neutral liner to enhance and highlight your lips. For instance, accentuating your cupid's bow and overdrawing your lip line slightly for a fuller appearance are just two examples of techniques you'd need a nude lip liner in your kit in order to execute.

This is where the pros come in, as they're the ones who work with lip liner on clients every day and have a wellspring of knowledge when it comes to what neutral shades work best on each skin tone. Most of you are probably already makeup-savvy enough to know that someone with fair or light skin wouldn't want to wear the same shades as someone with a tan or dark complexion, but even still, it can be super-helpful to hear from experts because you can count on their recommendations being some of the best out there.

So, whether you're due for another neutral liner in your collection or you're still searching for one that will convert you to the nude-lip life, check out the makeup artist-approved picks ahead to help you find your new favorite.

Let Megan Thee Stallion’s Waist-Length Red Hair Bless Your Timeline

megan thee stallion holding black sunglasses wearing a black mesh shirt with her hair upGetty Images

We're at the halfway mark of 2022 (in fact, the summer solstice is tomorrow, June 21), and it seems that Megan Thee Stallion is determined to have a good year. The yardstick by which I measure my year by tends to be whether or not I had a fun summer, and if the recent carousel of images she posted to Instagram is any indication, she's absolutely succeeding. The photoset, which is captioned, "Too blessed to be stressed 🙏🏾" and includes 10 photos, starts with an image of Meg posing in a patterned string bikini with waist-length red hair. Blessed, indeed.

Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

The next shot shows the rapper posing in front of a jacuzzi in the same suit, looking back at the camera and holding what appears to be a coupe glass up in the air. It's almost golden hour, and the sun highlights her long, sleek, deep red hair perfectly.

Other photos in the set feature friends of hers, and she blesses us with yet another gorgeous look; this time, long, lush curls. She's seen wearing these curls all the way down, pulled up in a high pony, as well as in a half-up, half-down style. Fans, of course, were almost speechless — the comment section is full of heart-eye, fire, and obviously, the classic red heart emoji. Well-deserved. Hopefully, Meg takes this as encouragement that this look is stress-reducing for us, too, and pulls it out again in the near future.

TikTok Is Obsessed With the Bleach-Washing Hair-Color Trend

A photo of a woman with blonde hair from behind.Getty Images

With summer around the corner, TikTokers are eager to find new ways to lighten their hair. That's where the bleach washing trend comes in. HairTok is buzzing about the process that promises to lighten and remove previous tones from your hair in less time than the traditional hair-bleaching process. In fact, #BleachWash has already amassed more than 12.8 million views on the video-sharing platform.

Sounds easy enough, but is bleach washing really the best answer to all of your hair-lightening woes? Let's ask the professionals.

Meet the experts:

  • Eric Vaughn, a hairstylist and the owner of REV Salon in Houston, Texas.
  • Jenny Pearlman, a hairstylist and colorist at Little Lion Salon in New York City.
  • Evan Sollars, a colorist at Mockingbird Salon in Philadelphia.
  • Scott Tyler, a colorist and educator at Van Michael Salon in Atlanta.
  • Devin Cook, a colorist at Blackbird Salon in Washington, D.C.
  • Stephanie Diaz, a color specialist at Love Lane Salon in New Jersey.
  • Abigail Bazzoli, a colorist and the founder of Hair Painters, an online community for hairdressers, based in Los Angeles.

What is bleach washing?

The term "bleach washing" refers to a process in which hair lightener (a.k.a. bleach) is applied on wet hair, typically after getting highlights or a balayage service. Exactly how much bleach a stylist adds really depends on how light you want your hair to look. "Usually there is a variable mixing ratio allowed depending on what consistency you like," adds Evan Sollars, a hair color specialist at Mockingbird Salon in Philadelphia.

The service is most commonly used to remove old toner, make the hair a little lighter, or to soften the difference between the base color and the highlights, says Jenny Pearlman, a colorist at Little Lion Salon in Brooklyn.

While it is possible to apply the bleach wash solution strategically all over the hair, it's more common to use it on the ends to get a brightening effect. "Once your highlights are rinsed, your ends may need a subtle lift to get a bit lighter," Devin Cook, a colorist at Blackbird Salon in Washington, D.C., explains. "This is where bleach washing can be introduced."

Bleach washing is big on TikTok right now, but it isn't a new concept. "Bleach washing was super popular when I started doing hair 12 years ago," says Eric Vaughn, a hairstylist and the owner of REV Salon in Houston, Texas. Now it's coming back because people are posting videos of bleach washing on social media, introducing it to new audiences, he adds.

TikTok content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

How does bleach washing work?

Bleach washing is most commonly done at the shampoo bowl at a salon. Traditionally, the colorist mixes the lightener with water to soften the lightener. Since the process is done on wet hair, the colorist can finish it faster than they can with a traditional bleaching process.

Bleach washing has classically been used as a technique for color correction, and even for corrective use, it is incredibly unreliable and unpredictable, says Sollars. If you're doing it on your own at home and you're not careful, you could expose unwanted colors in your hair without being able to successfully adjust the remaining tone like a professional can. That's why all of the professionals we spoke to warned against DIY bleach washing. "This is not a service that should be performed at home because bleach in any condition can cause irreversible damage," Cook says.

Bleach washing can be more gentle than traditional bleaching since the lightener is diluted and applied on wet hair, but it's important to note that you can't always expect to achieve the same results you would get with a traditional lightening service.

TikTok content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Who is bleach washing for?

Although TikTok is filled with people doing DIY bleach washes at home, the process should really only be done at a salon. It's usually part of a corrective color process, rather than a first step in coloring. "It can be a much milder process to start with on the hair if the hair has been compromised from previous services," Scott Tyler, a colorist and educator at Van Michael Salon in Atlanta, says. It is mostly used for overly deposited tone in the hair as well as lifting out unwanted previously darker color from the hair, he adds.

Several experts said their clients don't usually come into the salon asking for a bleach wash. "I haven't had anyone ask for this particular service," Tyler says. "I only introduce a client to the option when there is unwanted tonal color happening in the hair."

How do I bleach wash at home?

The short answer, we repeat, is don't. Colorists are cautious when they do the occasional bleach wash for a client. "This technique is in my toolbox but truly only comes out when necessary," Stephanie Diaz, a hair color specialist at Love Lane Salon in New Jersey, adds. "If hair that is not previously lightened is bleach washed, the risk of exposing unwanted warm tones is high."

In fact, doing it on your own at home can have consequences. "This is not a service that should be performed at home because bleach in any condition can cause irreversible damage," Cook says.  Said damage could include hair dryness, breakage, and loss.

"It's just another TikTok trend," adds Abigail Bazzoli, a Los Angeles-based hair colorist and founder of an online community of stylists called Hair Painters. Her younger clients ask about bleach washing since they've seen it on TikTok, but once she explains it to them, "they're a little turned off," she explains. "Would I recommend it at home? Absolutely not."

That Viral Face Taping Hack May Make Your Fine Lines More Prominent, Actually

greek marble bust with tape on it on a lavender backgroundChanning Smith // Allure

We'll admit: the Allure staff has learned a fair share of beauty track from TikTok. Thanks to some smart creators, we're changing up the way we use concealer, shop at the drugstore, and apply our highlighter. But sometimes, we see a video go viral and instantly start asking medical professionals for answers because the hack's results seems far too good to be true. The latest example flooding social media? Face taping to smooth fine lines.

The logic behind these face-taping videos, which a handful of TikTok-savvy dermatologists have stitched in response, is that a few days of wearing tape on your face overnight can keep your wrinkles from deepening and forming. Some of these videos' "results" do look convincing — a few of the wrinkles in question do look less prominent — but the internet is obviously skeptical.

Many users are calling creators out for potentially editing the videos, or recording them a week before their Botox (which is actually proven to reduce the appearance and formation of fine lines) kicks in. To settle the efficiency of this viral trend once and for all, we checked in with plastic surgeons to investigate whether or not face taping actually works.

Meet the experts:

  • Norman M. Rowe, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Rowe Plastic Surgery in New York and New Jersey.
  • Michael Horn, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Chicago, Illinois.

What is face taping?

The method is pretty straightforward: users are applying tape to areas of the face where they wish to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or fine lines (mostly on their foreheads) and wear the tape overnight to prevent movement. When they wake up, users remove the tape and repeat the process for a week or more, recording the progress. The idea, according to Michael Horn, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Chicago, Illinois, is that the tape will keep the muscles in place throughout the night, limiting their motion, and, therefore, minimizing wrinkles.

"During our sleep, it's possible we can still make facial expressions and move around as we adjust, so [the ideas is that] using tape is supposed to 'keep it in place,' preventing wrinkle formation," explains Dr. Horn. So can a week of face taping actually make as big of a difference as your favorite firming serum or injectable?

Is it safe to tape your face?

While a bit of Scotch tape probably won't leave permanent scars, face taping can end up doing more harm than good. "Using a piece of tape, especially one that is 'supposed' to hold your skin down for a whole night, can damage the skin barrier when you take it off," explains Dr. Horn. He notes that this tape isn't made to be safe on the skin and can cause redness, irritation, and acne breakouts. Additionally, he says, the adhesive must be incredibly tight and, therefore, uncomfortable to use for an extended time to "hold" the muscles still.

Also, common sense is a key factor here. If you bought the tape at Home Depot, it's probably going to screw up your skin. "While the main risk of this hack is false hope, if someone used a really strong adhesive tape, they could pull off their top layer of skin when it is removed," adds Norman M. Rowe, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Rowe Plastic Surgery in New York and New Jersey.

Does face taping work?

In short, no. The logic sounds like it makes sense though, right?

"In theory, using tape to keep muscles in place while you sleep by not allowing them to wrinkle as you move throughout the night should work," says Dr. Horn, but warns that it can actually "have the complete opposite effect" and end up making those lines you're intent on erasing even more noticeable.

"When you tape your face to hold muscles still, you're preventing them from doing what they're supposed to, thus adding resistance," he explains. "In doing so, you're training your facial muscles to work harder and, in turn, become more powerful. Over time they can become stronger, accelerating the formation of the fine lines and wrinkles you were hoping to avoid."

Dermatologists and plastic surgeons are trained to know exactly how the facial muscles move and change, which is why they're the right people to consult when you're looking to make changes to your appearance — not your average TikTok user.

There's also a reason that there's been billions of dollars and decades spent developing cosmetic advancements like fillers, neurotoxins, and lasers to address lines and wrinkles. To put it even more simply: it's just not that easy.

"It's too simplistic to think that taping the skin with prevent underlying muscle from causing wrinkles," says Dr. Rowe, noting that no matter how many nights you keep up the habit, you won't see any real progress. "There are numerous factors at play that taping just doesn't address."

What are alternatives to face taping?

The tried and true methods of treating fine lines and wrinkles apply here: skin care, sun protection, and injectables.

"There is always sunblock, adjusting your skin-care routine, and even Botox," says Dr. Horn, who, along with Dr. Rowe, recommends using sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect the skin. If you want to stick with some at-home treatment, he adds that including a retinoid in your daily skin-care routine can improves cellular turnover, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and can treat them before they form.

"Botox helps to prevent fine lines, which is the best and [a safe] alternative to face taping," says Dr. Rowe. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure — or tape for that matter."

Khloe Kardashian’s Bleached Bob Is Peak ’90s Glam

khloe kardashian waving with short blonde hair on a black backgroundGetty Images

Change is good. It often means new beginnings — or as it does in this case, an ending. Ahead of the premiere of the The Kardashians season finale (yes, we are emotional) Khloe Kardashian stepped out in a fitted jumpsuit and flaunted a fresh '90s-inspired bob at Hulu's 'For Your Consideration' event on June 15.

Most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has experimented with bleaching their hair, and they tend to change up the details each time. This time around, the Good American founder opted for a cool-toned blonde shade with a deeper tone at the roots. A deep side part created the illusion of asymmetrical length that just touches the shoulders, and some flipped ends added some extra polish. Andrew Fitzsimons, a go-to hairstylist for Khloe and her sisters, hasn't posted a tutorial for achieving the nostalgic look just yet. We can still confidently guess that some styling products from his namesake haircare brand were involved, though.

Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

While the cut may be fresh, Kardashian's signature nude lip helped keep things consistent. Makeup artist Adam Burrell gave the reality star a matte-bronzed look for the event by blending warm brown eyeshadow into her upper and lower lids.

Whether she's rocking a half-up, half-down situation, a bold new hue, or a major wig moment, Kardashian and her experimental nature make her a stylist's dream. Somehow, she manages to pull off each and every cut and color she goes for. This summer-y bob and sweet glam moment will surely have us keeping up with Khloe to see which style she surprises us with next.

Here at Allure, we love a sale — especially one that we've never seen before. Today, we're talking about mega beauty retailer Sephora, which announced its first-ever promotion to celebrate something you wouldn't expect. Today, Tuesday, June 21, is the longest day of the year, a.k.a. summer solstice. To celebrate the maximum amount of daylight, the brand decided to maximize the urge for beauty shopping.

Today and today only, Sephora is inviting all of its customers to shop online for free same-day delivery. All you have to do is be a Beauty Insider member (or sign up to be, it's free!) and add all of your beauty needs to your cart on sephora.com or on the Sephora app. You'll then be able to select same-day delivery and enter the code BEAUTYNOW at checkout.

Something to note is that this code is only meant for one-time use, and that is you want to ensure you get this same-day delivery, all orders should be placed by 4 PM local time. If you happen to place your order after that time, you'll just get your products delivered to you the next day.

The best part? There's no minimum spend required so whether you just need a restock of your favorite lip treatment (may we suggest the Laniege Sleeping Mask) or want to revamp your routine for summer — you'll get it all today in your hand. Stumped on what to shop for? That's where we come in, keep scrolling for our favorites at Sephora in makeup, skin care, and hair care

To keep it short, if you're looking for soft, shiny, healthy hair — this is the one.

Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly Hair

$24 at Sephora

Ouai's Leave In Conditioner does way more than your traditional leave-in. It'll help tame frizz and retain moisture in your hair but it also acts as a heat protectant. Just spritz some in your clean, damp hair and brush it through before you heat-style, and you'll notice healthier and softer hair once it's dry.

Curly hair folks, this one's for you. the Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly Hair contains a proprietary tri-polymer complex that conditions, moisturizes, and detangles, while the cashmere extract repairs dry fragile hair. Basically, your hair will look and feel like you just walked out of a salon.

Along with these three categories, you can also shop for tools and fragrance on sephora.com. Keep in mind that same-day delivery is available all year round — but never for free, so we suggest taking advantage of this one-day offer before it disappears.
